How booking and pricing work, what a session feels like, how healing goes and whether we can cover an older tattoo. If your question is not here, ask it in your brief.

Booking

How do I book a tattoo?

Send a brief through the form on our homepage or message us on Instagram. Describe the idea, the placement and the size. We reply with questions, a suggested size and a price range, then agree on a date.

Can I bring my own design?

Yes. Bring a drawing, a photo or a reference. We redraw it for your body so it fits the placement and will heal cleanly.

Do you speak English?

Yes. We work in Tiếng Việt and English.

I don't know what I want yet. Can you help?

Yes. Try the Idea studio: pick a meaning, a placement and a size, and it suggests three directions based on pieces we have already made.

Price

How much does a tattoo cost?

We quote each piece after reading the brief. The price depends on size, detail, placement and how many sittings it needs. We do not publish a fixed price list because two tattoos of the same size can take very different amounts of time.

Why are large pieces quoted differently?

Sleeves and back pieces are planned as a whole and tattooed over several sittings. We agree the overall plan and the number of sittings with you before we start.

Does placement change the price?

Sometimes. Ribs, spine, hands and joints take longer to tattoo well, so the same design can take more time there than on the outer arm.

The session

Does a tattoo hurt?

It depends on the placement. Outer forearm, outer upper arm, thigh and calf are the most comfortable. Ribs, spine, elbow, knee, feet, hands and neck are the most sensitive. Most people describe it as a hot scratch that becomes easier after the first ten minutes.

How should I prepare?

Sleep well, eat a proper meal before you come, drink water, and avoid alcohol for 24 hours. Wear clothes that give easy access to the placement.

How long does a session take?

Small fine line pieces usually take under two hours. A palm-sized piece takes around three to five hours. Sleeves and back pieces are split into several sittings.

Healing

How long does a tattoo take to heal?

The surface heals in two to four weeks; the skin underneath settles over about three months. Our aftercare guide goes through it day by day.

When can I swim or go in the sun?

Wait about four weeks, until the tattoo is fully healed. After that, use SPF 50 sunscreen on it whenever it sees the sun.

Cover-ups & reworks

Can you cover an old tattoo?

Often. A cover-up needs a new design that is darker and usually larger than the old one, with dense areas (fur, smoke, clouds) placed over the old lines. Our ape cover-up in the portfolio is one example. Send a clear daylight photo of the old tattoo.

Can you rework or refresh an old tattoo?

Yes. Faded line work can be reinforced, and new shading or background can bring an older piece back to life.

Will I need laser removal first?

Only if the old tattoo is very dark or large compared with what you want. A few laser sessions to lighten it give the cover-up far more freedom. We will tell you honestly if it is needed.

Still wondering?

Ask us anything in your brief. Rough ideas are fine; we reply with questions, a size and a price range.
